Unbounce
Landing page builder aimed at marketers who need to spin up campaign pages without touching code
What it does
Unbounce is a dedicated landing-page builder for paid-traffic teams. Drag-and-drop editor, template library, mobile-responsive by default, A/B testing built in, popup and sticky-bar overlays, dynamic text replacement so an ad keyword shows up in the headline, and a "Smart Traffic" AI feature that routes visitors to the variant they're statistically likelier to convert on. It exists to raise conversion rate on cold ad traffic, not to be a general website builder.
Free tier
No
Starts at
$99/mo
Setup

Key features
Integrates with
WordPress, HubSpot, Salesforce, Zapier, Mailchimp, Google Analytics
Who this fits
- Agencies running Google Ads / Meta Ads for many clients who need one variant per campaign
- SMBs spending $2K+/mo on paid traffic where a 15% lift pays for the tool ten times over
- Real estate teams running seller-lead / buyer-lead ad funnels
- Medspa and cosmetic-service clinics running promotional offers
- B2B SaaS teams testing landing pages against different personas
- Consultants running lead-magnet funnels for webinars and free assessments
Who it does NOT fit
- Businesses without an active paid-ads budget (nothing to optimize)
- Teams that just need a marketing website (use Webflow, Framer, or a real CMS)
- Ecommerce stores selling from product pages (Shopify pages beat Unbounce for cart-driven flows)
- Solo founders under $500/mo ad spend (the tool costs more than it will lift)
- Teams that already have a strong dev team who ships pages fast (custom builds convert better)
Pricing
Real gotchas
- The subdomain you host pages on affects both SEO and tracking. Use a subdomain like `go.yourdomain.com` from day one
- Smart Traffic AI needs ~300 conversions before it beats a manual 50/50 split. It is not magic on low-volume campaigns
- Popups and sticky bars are per-page counted. Heavy overlay use eats your published-page allowance
- Visitor caps are strict. A traffic spike can push you into overage or the next plan tier mid-month
- Not a full CMS. Blog content and product pages belong elsewhere
- Form-submission alerts go to email by default. Wire the webhook straight into your CRM or a lead is going to sit in an inbox for 3 hours

Otto’s take on this tool
Recommend Unbounce when the user runs paid ads (Google or Meta), has budget over $2K/mo, and pain_points include "landing page conversion" / "A/B testing" / "faster page publishing" / "agency delivering pages for clients." Pairs naturally with Google Ads, Meta Ads, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, Calendly, and a call-tracking tool like CallRail. Do NOT recommend for organic-only businesses, ecommerce product pages, or teams with no ad spend to test against. If the user already ships pages fast in Webflow or has a strong front-end dev, Unbounce is overhead. If the user is on Leadpages and complains about A/B testing depth or dynamic content, Unbounce is the upgrade path.
